The other day, I was in a book store, looking at photography magazines, when it occurred to me, “I see better pictures than these everyday on Photopoints!”
I had never stopped to consider that the images that you are posting, day in and day out, are far and away superior to most of the images that one sees in magazines about photography.
I find that over time, the participants on this site have become my major source of inspiration, not the people being published in the slick trade magazines.
As an amateur digital photographer, I am primarily interested in abstracts, rural, industrial and rust. I am here to learn how to “see” better and to learn from this community of excellent photographers.
I continue to be deeply moved by all of the wonderful images posted on PhotoPoints and inspired to better “hone my craft.” - Harlan
