A rework of an older image of an abandoned farm house in Southeast Ohio. Kinda reflects the state of the U.S. housing market!

1/28/2010 10:21:48 PMA dynamic look, Jim. Maybe Adjust help? Whatever, it's really good!
RPLYPhotographer1/28/2010 10:37:50 PMThanks, Al...this is a redo of an older image with an about 20% opacity layer of the spicify preset in Adjust...seems to work well to bring out more detail and contrast in the midtones. Just wondered if you have looked at the Topaz Details plug-in...seems to be similar to adjust but uses three zones for details.
RPLYNot Available1/29/2010 10:35:45 AMA few months ago, Topaz had an extra discount on the Topaz Photoshop Bundle (7 plugins) so I bought it. Some are a little gimmicky but also some very usefull filters. I love 'foolin' around so it was definitely worth it. ( Think I paid $130 for the bundle.)
RPLYPhotographer1/29/2010 12:11:06 PMThanks...I'm still using the fully functional trial version of Adjust...so haven't decided on what to purchase...just wondered if you used the Topaz Detail and found it useful?
RPLYNot Available1/29/2010 6:23:43 PMI DID use Detail both solo and in combination with Adjust on occasion. Lots of potential!
RPLYPhotographer1/29/2010 7:14:28 PMOkay, thanks...it looked very interesting...will add it to my shopping list!

1/27/2010 7:42:24 AMI love these nobody home, dilapidated buildings. Wish there were more around here like there were in my younger years.

The desaturation and dramatic mood make for a memorable photo. Really good, Jim. I like it a lot.

1/26/2010 12:27:47 AMI love the image but your description made me smile. Only 18 months ago I am almost certain that someone would have been on the lookout for a place like this to flip and make their fortune... Of course, those people are probably now living in a place that looks a lot like this :)

1/23/2010 8:31:51 PMNot to sure about the sky and horizon on the left of the house, perfect sky looks familar.
The house does present itself well with the angle and position you chose.

RPLYPhotographer1/23/2010 8:56:44 PMThanks, Dennis...I submitted a similar version of this one several years ago...recently redid this with some new filter techniques...and yes I have used that same sky on some other stuff, lol!

1/23/2010 3:22:41 PMgreat editing on this...I love how you muted the remaining color...and yes, it does fit the current housing market...
