I didn't use a filter, but I worked the colors in PS and used ACDSee to resize.

I had to cut the corner and make multiple copies of portions of the sides to fit the large frame of Mariam. The hand holding the frame was another image of a hand holding a rope. The pin was yet another image as is the rope holding the cookie monster's frame. I then increased the size of the canvas and colored the BG to match that of PP. The added shadows were copies of each image blurred, resized and nudged to the right to match the shadows in the original image.
