Re entry because this was voted as
POM under PHOTOART. NOT deserved because this is a straight shot. No PS, layers or any other post production work.

I opted out from POM (this one must have slipped trough)so there will be no more problems in the future until judges have their eyes or senses tested. But I could re photograph this print with a Toy camera, put scratches on it, over or under expose it and re enter the PP awards.

But "normal" pictures are not recognized here anymore.

The stairs lead to the top of a wastewater digester, used to reduce the quantity of solids by converting some to gases. These gases (mostly methane) were once 'flared' into the air, but are now used to fuel power generators for electricity. The domed structure on the left captures digester gases for this purpose.

This was taken at the La Brea Tar Pits. I flipped the surface water both horizontally and vertically so that it seems more like an impressionist painting . . . You can see the reflections we cast in the lower right side of the image . . . leaning on the fence.

The dead cow in the foreground was probably washed down a flood swollen river and washed up onto the beach in a storm. In the distance people are fishing, probably unaware of the cow but wondering where the smell was coming from. I have turned the sea red. The cow and foreground rocks are largely unchanged from the original colours

When we traveled to visit my Mother’s grave, my daughter and I detoured to build a stone marker for my Father at his lover’s feet. As I looked up the mountain face, I paused to again ponder the salty tears of bitterness.

(Please note: This is a true double exposure slide...not a composite conjured up in Photoshop. As was explained to me, there is some deterioration of the back image as the developer must choose one image to focus on. Thank you.)

My sons went out for a mid night swim so I went down with my old digital camera and tripod. The picture has not been changed in ps other than drop shadow.

The camera is a fixed lens auto HP315 so I had little setting I could change.

Shot in December 1994 during rainy season at around Dusk, off I-9 near Saratoga, California. Increased color saturation by about 40 - 50 % in PS. This is a timed exposure of flowing stream. Exposure time is about 8 - 15 seconds. My 1st ever bulb exposure using a tripod.
