Here you have another old architecture,this one is entirely of marble and is in restoration is like the runway and side walks around the Lima down town (we will have soon a mayor election, thats the real reason) :))
You can see the giant sign on the front that says "Reopening 2010, the Art Museum is renewed.
PS; all this architecture pics that I took was from my car window in a red light :)

Question being: How do you shoot a 3 day wedding over 25 acres by yourself.
I shot over 60 rolls of 36 exposure film.Scanned every image in,did a parchmenthand bound book(50 pages 2 sides), printed each image,mounted them. And didn't have the heart to charge them.
Why I stopped doing weddings.

So, here you see the Torri gate out on the tidal flats. It's the same one I waded out to when the tide was higher.

The Japanese mainland and Hiroshima are rather close in the background, only 1 mile (1.6 km) away! But the summer air, so laden with humidity, blots it out all together!

In fine weather any of the trails stunning routes. In the barrenness of the harsh beauty of the highlands is not just visual. These austere uplands have an awesome grandeur that can fill the traveller with ocaltition or dread and a whole gamut of other feelings, including that interminable space and absolute freedom.?The high plateau with an average elevation of 1000m and mountains which on the eastern edge rise to more than 2300m is made up of plateaus and highlands with many complex rages. On the highest range are ice fields, forming the headwaters of many great rivers and huge tracts of bare mountainous country, but is none-the-less worth visiting, because the scenery is frankly magnificent. Much of the interior of Iceland is a trackless desert and many parts of the highlands unpenetrated by tracts.?Where this picture is taken in the highlands you need to be on 4-wheel drive vehicles only.

This picture has more people, cars and buses than the previous, because this was taken yesterday Sunday at 12:00M and the previous one at 6:00 AM.
It is amazing that these beautiful houses are used and rented by many offices very poor and disreputable maybe for 100 US Dollars per month . each room is rented as an office for a pseudo lawyer or a healer, and so on.
In the window of the front front you can see a horrible sign that says DR. Saldarriaga ¿? and in the building on the right side you can see other offices horrible ads.

This stained glass window in the St.Hubertus Hunting Lodge at Hoge Veluwe National Park (Netherlands) shows the legend of St. Hubertus. Today I went to a park near the BMX track to play with Teresita in a special place for children.
Few seconds after our arrive I heard the fire truck coming at full speed, I left Betty and Teresita and went to see that happening.
This guy had tried to make a dangerous leap without being protected by a helmet or anything and he fell heavily to the ground awkwardly and remained apparently in a coma.
I hope he already recover of his injuries and learned the lesson.

The rose window at the western end of the cathedral. This is the window that was behind the organ pipes seen from inside in my earlier submission.

Taken in the summer of 2008. But we were there in 1998 as well, but this end of the cathedral was completely covered in scaffolding. So, we didn't get to see this back then.

"Dreamscapes" are created from scarred metal protective plates on a utility poles in alleys with heavy delivery truck traffic. I found this one in an alley in Miami,Oklahoma.

The image was rotated 90 degrees and the saturation was increased to bring out the blue in the metal. I left one of the bolts in the upper right edge of this composition.

This is dedicated to all dreamers everywhere. May all of your best dreams be colorful, original and come true.

It was a wonderful day, wandering along the foreshore of Steveston with Jan and Sandy in June last year.

We had an understanding that we wouldn't take any photos of each other, but I snapped this without realising that Jan was in the shot.

I'm so glad I did.

I cropped it and added a graphic element. Once again something he probably wouldn't have done or approved of himself.

But I would be more than willing to hear his complaints about it.

Dear Jan:

You are a very rich man my dear friend. Rich with people's love, rich with how everyone you met or knew thinks of you, rich with the countless number of smiles you drew on faces of old and young, and rich with great feelings and characteristics of a very special person that forever will live in our hearts.

I don't dare say I miss you, yet… I still am trying to accept the fact… no tears will flow anymore, we will all continue to live and think great of you and what you did, because forever you will remain among all those that loved you. So rest assured my friend, we are feeling you, thinking of you, and will always love you.

You were quite a support when I tried to quit smoking more than a year ago. I am going to stop smoking for the next 24 hours and hopefully forever, in respect to you and all those that contributed to the wealth of love you deserve. I urge every smoker in PP to do the same.

For me, it is the moment…something has to catch my eye. I rarely go out to shoot with a specific idea or subject in mind, and simply allow what the conditions dictate, and what I happen to be attracted to. I will shoot in rain, fog, snow (if we get some) full sun, or in the dark, but rarely indoors. I try not to be influenced by the work of others, but I suppose subconsciously I am. - Jan Jendras

Today I feel very sad and heavy heart, by the unexpected news, Jan was one of the most charming and charismatic, free and creative, this little family.

I want to convey my deep sorrow, their families and loved ones, and the family of PP, for this irreparable loss.

I am sure that now you have started a new journey, and we're seeing from wherever you are:) ?.

Thanks for everything friend, do not forget.

Hoy me siento muy triste y con el corazón encogido, por la inesperada noticia; Jan era una de las personas más encantadoras y carismáticas, libres y creativas, de esta pequeña familia.

Quiero hacer llegar, mi profundo dolor, a sus familiares y seres queridos, así como a la familia de PP, por esta irreparable pérdida.

"Proof Pages"

I thought some of you might be interested in this:

As of today I have printed some 55 proof pages for the book. Here are some samples. The page numbering is just for reference. Once the book is laid out, I am going to change them of course to correspond to their location. At first I was going to make this a Blurb Book [I have done several and like them], but I had real problems laying it out and really visualizing what things would look like. I discovered that my Epson 2400 printer worked very well with Strathmore Drawing paper, using an icc profile built by Eric Chan, for the printer and Arches Cover.

The Strathmore pages are 11×14 inches, but lose a little length when removed from the pad. Here are four random pages laid out on the rug in our living room. Three of the images were done with my 35mm SLR, the shot of the palm tree is a Holga photo.

Every year during violent storms in this area boats are ripped from their moorings and washed ashore. It happens with such frequency that this particular stretch of water is called "Fool's Anchorage" . Not only does the owner suffer the loss of his/her boat, but he/she has to repay the city for the removal of the destroyed boat, which can amount to thousands of dollars.

Image: This was a beautiful sailboat. It looked like it could easily be pulled back out to sea. However, the hull was cracked so the owner salvaged as many parts as possible and then seven days after being beached it was ripped apart by bulldozers and skiploaders then hauled away to the local landfill.

One might wonder why mariners continue to moor their boats in this area. Well, obtaining a boat slip in the Santa Barbara harbor is extremely difficult and a person can wait years and years as their name slowly moves up on a slip waiting list.
